Property owner questions
Know what to ask.
Know what comes next.
We are preparing for launch. Here are the practical questions that shape a property-specific system—and where specifications are still being finalized.
Can I express interest before launch?
Yes. Use our contact form or contact Ryan directly. Include your general property location and what you want to understand. We are accepting inquiries, not orders or confirmed installation bookings.
Where will EmberHalt launch?
Washington State, northeastern Oregon, and western Idaho. Property suitability and installation scheduling will determine when we can serve individual locations.
How much water does a property need?
There is no single volume we can responsibly quote for every site. Coverage, flow, pressure, runtime, and the available supply determine the design. Storage requirements and final specifications are still being developed for launch.
Can you use my well, tank, or existing water supply?
Tell us what you have available. Capacity, pressure, access, and other demands on that supply need assessment before we can confirm a design. We have not published a universal compatibility specification.
What does installation involve?
The planned process starts with the property’s terrain, vegetation, exterior exposure, water supply, power, connectivity, and access. Those factors guide sensor placement, water delivery, and controls. Final installation scope and scheduling will be defined with the launch offering.
Does it work without power or internet?
Outage behavior is part of our system evaluation. We have not published a universal backup-power or offline-operation specification. We will explain each installation’s limits before a customer commits.
Can I activate the system manually?
Manual controls are part of the operating questions we are addressing for launch. The final controls and owner instructions will be specified with the equipment and site design. Never delay evacuation to operate the system.
What about freezing weather and maintenance?
Seasonal startup, winterization, and checks of pumps, filters, piping, sprinklers, and sensors are part of our planned service approach. Exact procedures, intervals, and service arrangements will depend on the equipment and site.
How does the timing differ from a timer or manual switch?
A fixed timer follows a schedule and a manual switch follows a person’s decision. EmberHalt’s approach connects local measurements and public fire and weather information to real-time fire modeling, which informs when to deploy water. Those are activation approaches, not claims about every competing product.
How much will it cost?
We have not published pricing. Water storage, equipment, access, installation work, and ongoing service affect the scope. Contact us to discuss your property and launch interest; an inquiry does not commit you to a purchase.
Does a working prototype prove wildfire protection?
No. It shows we have built a working system. Performance in a wildfire depends on conditions and equipment limits. We have not published quantified protection results or independent validation. See our prototype and testing page for the current stage.
Does this replace home hardening or evacuation planning?
No. Use EmberHalt alongside home hardening, vegetation management, and evacuation planning. No system guarantees protection. Follow evacuation instructions; property equipment must never delay departure.
